چکیده

Phytochemical study of the roots Erythrina senegalensis led to isolation a new α-sophoradiol glycoside, erythrinoside (1), together with four known compounds, lupeol (2), (3), isoneorautenol (4) and D-mannitol (5). The structures compounds were elucidated using spectroscopic data including 1D 2D NMR, mass spectrometry by comparison made some reported previously; samples (extracts compounds) also subjected antidiabetic assay. Erythrinoside exhibited good α-amylase inhibitory potential 54.6% 53.3%, respectively, compared acarbose (72.5%) at 400 µg/mL. With α-glucosidase, all showed promising inhibition percentages above 50% 200 In α-glucosidase assay, ethyl acetate extract (65.5%), methanol (72.1%), (63.3%) (66.0%) had percentage inhibitions closer that (69.0%) (IC 50 = 81.2 ± 0.9 µg/mL) was more active than 94.5 0.7 µg.mL) in indicates E. extracts could be used manage diabetic conditions.

Determination of a-glucosidase inhibitory activity from selected Fabaceae plants.

Nineteen plants from Fabaceae family, which were used in Thai traditional medicine for treatment of diabetes, were determined of α-glucosidase inhibitory activity via enzymatic reaction. In this reaction, α-glucosidase was used as enzyme, which, reacted with the substrate, p-nitrophenol-D-glucopyranoside (pNPG). After that the product, p-nitro phenol (pNP) will be occurred and observed the yell...

Inter-α-inhibitor Impairs TSG-6-induced Hyaluronan Cross-linking*

Under inflammatory conditions and in the matrix of the cumulus-oocyte complex, the polysaccharide hyaluronan (HA) becomes decorated covalently with heavy chains (HCs) of the serum glycoprotein inter-α-inhibitor (IαI). This alters the functional properties of the HA as well as its structural role within extracellular matrices. The covalent transfer of HCs from IαI to HA is catalyzed by TSG-6 (tu...

Potential Anti-obesity Effects of some Medicinal Herb: In vitro α-Amylase, α-Glucosidase and Lipase Inhibitory Activity

In this study, in vitro inhibitory activity of methanolic and chloroform extracts of some medicinal plants including C. wightii, T. ammi, N. sativa, C. arabica, L. usitatissimum, C. cyminum, and R. Graveolens was evaluated toward α-glucosidase, α-amylase, and lipase comparing with acarbose and orlistat as the standard inhibitors. Our results revealed that both methanolic and chloroform extracts...

Incorporation of Pentraxin 3 into Hyaluronan Matrices Is Tightly Regulated and Promotes Matrix Cross-linking

Mammalian oocytes are surrounded by a highly hydrated hyaluronan (HA)-rich extracellular matrix with embedded cumulus cells, forming the cumulus cell·oocyte complex (COC) matrix. The correct assembly, stability, and mechanical properties of this matrix, which are crucial for successful ovulation, transport of the COC to the oviduct, and its fertilization, depend on the interaction between HA an...
